SEISMIC ANALYSIS OF RC FRAMES DUE TO EARTHQUAKE

“Earthquake will not kill the people, but the building do so”. So that, the life of the building must be good according to the design criteria and also the usage of the materials. The invasion of earthquake is moving extensively from north India to south India. These seismic forces must be included in the earthquake prone zones for the design criteria. In that, the ductility is one of the important things to concentrate while designing to resist the various type of forces. The ductility will be improved, so that the breaking point of reinforcement will also be increased and the collapse of the building may take some duration. In that time duration, the human can be rescued from the building collapse. And this book will be very much useful for the calculation of seismic base shear of RC structures due to earthquake forces or dynamic forces as per IS codal provisions. This seismic base shear value is vital for the design of ductility behaviour of RC structures and enhance the better performance of buildings during earthquakes.
