Trust and Leadership

When educators work, teach, coach, mentor, and counsel in an educational institution, gaining an understanding of information that can assist people to work more effectively is extremely powerful and meaningful to educational leaders in the 21st century. Trust is a foundation of any meaningful relationship. Educators must maintain professional relationships that include respect and trust for each other. Teachers must trust principals, teachers, and clients (parents and students). Principals must trust teachers, colleagues, and students. Given the importance of making quality decisions that include input from all stakeholders in environments that are trustworthy, trust needs to be a point of focus.
