Kenya has got an approximate population of about 39 million and 42 ethnic communities. The country received independence in 1963 from the British colonial rule. However, The state of the republic continues to go from bad to worse due to corruption and negative ethnicity. Over the years, politicians have excited negative ethnicity amongst their followers; a fact that has greatly polarized Kenya along tribal lines. This had a devastating effect in the 2007 presidential, parliamentary and civic elections, when Kenyans killed and maimed each other for political power. The author of this book was in the midst of these violence and traces it''s path from where it all began and where it halted. He also gives insight into some of the institutions that have abdicated their duties for finding an eternal cease fire; He interogates the political, educational and religious institutions with the intention of promoting peace.
