This monograph highlights the effects of Malocclusion & its impact on individual and society in term of discomfort, Quality of Life, social and functional limitations, the severity and treatment needs for malocclusion also determined in this monograph. The Dental Aesthetic Index(DAI) is discussed in detail in this monograph.This DAI is used to measure the malocclusion and orthodontic treatment needs.This DAI index can also be used as a practical tool for epidemiologists and dental personnel for screening orthodontic treatment need and to assess the prevalence of malocclusion categories.
