Shorttitle: W. V. Quine argues that all the grounds used to support the analytic-synthetic distinction are not sufficient to justify it. He then concludes that the analytic-synthetic distinction is not justified. This issue was examined critically by considering the issues such as model language versus natural language, indeterminacy of meaning and indeterminacy of refrents, taxonomic understanding of language versus menatalistic understanding of language. This book then argues, an alternative defence of the analytic-synthetic distinction, that the distinction is a part of the functioning structure of English language and any challenge to the analytic-synthetic distinction threatens the functionality of the entire language.
