DESIGNING WITH PRECEDENT

The use of precedent is a critical part of the design process: Its use is engaged immediately at the onset of a new design process and continues until the goal or final artifact has been created. The use of precedent in instructional design should be imparted to novice instructional designers and given ample opportunity to infiltrate, inspire, and educate instructional designers in academia and real-world practice.
