Curriculum Development

This book is to inform readers about the situation of a new country that still limited in human resources and facilities to develop its education. The stakeholders of National Education do their best to develop the education from primary to higher education and especially Initial Teacher Education however, to change or reform its curriculum is related to political orientation. Normally, curriculum plays important roles for the development of the National Identity however, the country like Timor Leste sometimes the leaders have difficult choice to which systems of education should Timor Leste take or adopt? In reality after Timor Leste achieved its independence in 2002 there were various educational systems and languages adopted to National Education such as from Europe (Portuguese language and its Educational Systems), Australia and USA (English) and Asian (Filipinos Schools and Indonesia).
