Catholic Lay Leadership enhancing Faculty Morale

The phenomenon of Catholic Lay Leadership continues to grow in our Catholic elementary and secondary schools. Over the past decade lay faculties increased dramatically with only about 4.7% of its professional staff consisting of religious and clergy. These Catholic Lay Leaders embrace a unique ecclesial ministry that must foster and promote Catholic Identity by making the Church present through the mission of building God''s Kingdom in Catholic Schools. Catholic Lay Leadership also promotes a special interconnectedness among characteristics such as transformational and moral leadership along with the power to influence, inspire, and motivate that enhances faculty morale within the school community.
