Female Athletes and Performance-Enhancer Usage

This book presents evidence-based research on the importance of potential factors (i.e., peer pressure, pressure to win, etc.) leading to performance-enhancer usage among female athletes. By becoming more aware of the emotional issues faced by today''s competitive young women, coaches, athletes, and educators can structure and strengthen prevention education programs to improve both the mental and physical health of this population.
