An Exploration and Identification of Pedestrian Way as an Urban Space

Urban space is one of the key elements of a city’s structure and identity over the course of history. In fact, human contact and dialogue takes place in urban spaces.. Today, urban space is given priority when officials plan a city’s infrastructural development and design.Urban spaces not only provide a social and cultural platform for people’s interaction, but they also can bring about rich social benefits. This study examines ways to establish, identify and improve pedestrian ways. It considers pedestrians’ right to commute by walking through designated paths. Therefore, people can bring life back to the streets of Shiraz.
