Energy Budget of Plants and Animals

The present book entitled “Energy Budget of Plant and Animals” is a dissertation study conducted by Ms. Sakshi Mishra for her Masters in Environmental Science from University of Lucknow, India. This book incorporates previous studies about energy budgets of plants and animals which are compiled in way to give an insight of the percentage of energy assimilated, allocated and transported to living beings including studies along with percentage of energy gathered by an organism plants or animals that is diverted to various metabolic activities such as maintenance, growth & reproduction. The study also includes concepts of energy, primary and secondary production which has been elaborated along with energy budgets, ecological efficiencies, measurement of primary production and factors effecting primary and secondary production which are mentioned respectively. This book is illustrated in a way that it may be helpful in form of reference book to academicians as well as researchers as ecological are concerned.
