Childhood Obesity and Impact of Nutritional and Lifestyle Intervention

Childhood Obesity is becoming endemic globally. The need to prevent and manage obesity is increasing as many non communicable diseases arise out of obesity. Hence the authors developed nutritional and lifestyle intervention strategies to treat and prevent childhood obesity. Nutrition education, physical activity and low fat, high fibre snack replacement were used as school based, family based and individual based approaches or intervention strategies.
