This book contains the final work of a comprehensive research. It was spurred by the contemporary transnational relations in trade, finance and investment transactions among nation-states of the global community. Such collaboration cannot come to fruition without the aid of diplomatic and consular agents acting as representatives of individual sovereign states, and as such the rules regulating the conducts of these international actors must be taken cognisance of. This book thus identifies the relevant provisions contained in diplomatic and consular conventions, critically elucidating how these legal rules have aided national and international economic growth or otherwise.
