Establishing a good inventory control system has always created a lot of problems for a company. While “inventory” is a general term and it spreads through all business industries encompassing various operating business articles, there was one industry lacking in the whole inventory control system presentation. Hospitality industry’s inventory control system highly relies on the other industries’ concepts, although the business philosophies, practices, and situations differ. Based on the present situation and development of the hospitality industry, its inventory control practices showed various movements towards semi- centralized inventory processes, where the actual hospitality storage space was minimized, which could add additional problems with the industry’s concepts and possibilities of establishing a flawless inventory control system.
