Immersive Design

There is a unique sense of exhilaration that surrounds any live event - theatrical, musical or sporting. Live events evoke a feeling of spontaneity - anything can and might just happen. This book investigates ways in which temporary systems and experiential design can enhance the atmosphere of a music festival by establishing a more cohesive setting for this increasingly popular live event. Through the research of several relevant cases a set of guidelines and techniques are given that can be adjusted and applied to the varying site conditions of festivals and other live events.
