The research set out to investigate the factors that militated against female participation in technical education in Ghana. The descriptive survey design was adopted for the study. Three hundred Junior High School female pupils were sampled. It was found out that girl's school type, societal attitude and the stereotyped environment had influence on the participation of females in technical education. Thus, the major factor responsible for the low participation of females in technical education was inadequate career counselling in the Junior High Schools. It is recommended that competent guidance coordinators should be assigned to the Junior High schools to help pupils acquire effective decision making skills to make informed career choices.
