This book deals with study of peristaltic transport of nanofluids. Peristalsis is a radially symmetrical contraction and relaxation of muscles that propagates in a wave down a tube. Addition of nano particles facilitates the heat transfer phenomena by enhancing the thermal conductivity of low thermal conductivity fluids. They have many bio-medical applications. To avoid some side effects of traditional cancer treatment methods, iron-based nanoparticles could be used as delivery vehicles for drugs or radiation without damaging nearby healthy tissue. The main objective of the book is to analyze heat and mass transfer effects of peristaltic motion of nanofluids in ducts or tubes in different situations like single layered models, two layered models and models with permeable walls. In order to study the fluid flow pattern, long wavelength and low Reynolds number approximations have been employed. The main characteristics of the flow namely, pressure drop, frictional force, mechanical efficiency, temperature profile, nanoparticle phenomena, heat and mass transfer coefficients, velocity profiles and trapping phenomenon are discussed in detail.
