Interaction between functional groups of hydrogels and dyes

This book provides information on the synthesis of several polymer hydrogels and characterization of several polymer hydrogels. It also implicates the application of these hydrogels for removal of several industrial dyes under varied processed conditions. Detailed studies are given stating the use of these hydrogels for the adsorption of Rhodamine B (RB), Methyl Violet (MV), Congo Red (CR), Safranine T (ST) and Brilliant Cresyl Blue (BCB) dyes from water. Special attention is given to Isotherms, kinetics and thermodynamics studies of dye adsorption by the interaction between functional groups of polymer hydrogels and dyes.
