Among pulses mungbean [Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek] is one of the most important crops in India. This crop suffers from many diseases among which, web blight caused by R. solani (Kuhn) is one of the most important one. Several botanicals and bio-agents have been found effective for management of web blight of mungbean caused by R. solani. The present investigation were carried out on different aspects like symptomatology, isolation, identification of pathogen, pathogenicity and disease management through use of botanicals and bio-agents. Seven plant extracts Neem, Garlic, Onion, Tulsi, Sadabahar, Ginger, and Clerodendron & the bioagents viz., T. viride and T. harzianum were evaluated in vitro and in vivo. The maximum inhibition in radial growth was obtained in Garlic followed by Ginger, Neem, Onion, Tulsi, Clerodendron, Sadabahar. In field condition The minimum disease incidence and maximum disease control was obtained in Garlic followed by Ginger, Neem, Onion, Tulsi, Clerodendron, Sadabahar. However, the bioagents viz., T. viride and T. harzianum were ineffective against web blight when applied as foliar spray.
