This work covers underlying questions relating to the possible presence of a number of globalisation-induced information, and mobility impacts on global health security. Simultaneously, it investigates how information is obtained, processed and consequently construed by individuals. More importantly, this book puts forward the idea of utilising post-structuralism perspectives in processing potential security problems, especially in the 21st century when the fluidity of information undermines the accuracy of the information obtained by society. Furthermore, the research examines the relationship between the Securitisation process and fear perception. For the purpose of this study, the Securitisation theory is analysed from the perspective of global health security, while focusing on the recent outbreak of the Ebola virus in 2014. This research study also demonstrates that the aforementioned relationship can only be accurately understood from a post-structuralist perspective.
