Multiferroic materials have attracted considerable interest and gained attention due to their potential applications for new device development based on the novel electromagnetic properties. In chapter 1 (Introduction) presents the background of the book with an introduction to nanomaterials, multiferroic compounds, synthesis methods. In Chapter 2 report the synthesis of multiferroic YMO3 (M = Fe, Cr & Mn) nanoparticles by metal organic precursor method. In Chapter 3 YFeO3 and YCrO3 nanoparticles have been prepared successfully by the low temperature reverse micellar method for the first time. In Chapter 4 deals the synthesis of GdFeO3 and GdCrO3 nanoparticles by ethylene glycol-assisted metal citrate precursor method. In Chapter 5 discussed the monophasic synthesis of TbFeO3 and TbCrO3 nanoparticles by low temperature synthesis route. In Chapter 6 we have successfully synthesized monophasic and highly nano-crystalline oxides of DyFeO3 and LaMnO3. In last Chapter 7 discussed the use of reverse micellar and polymeric citrate precursor routes to prepare monophasic BiFeO3 and LuFeO3 nanoparticles.
