Pseudomonas aeruginosa is mostly cause of nosocomial infections and play a vital role in pus formation .It gives blue and green color to the pus and cause destruction to the surrounding tissues .Pseudomonas aeruginosa can be cultured on a wide variety of media i.e. cetramide agar, human blood agar, MacConkey agar and brain heart infusion agar. It can be biochemically characterized by, oxidase, citrate, and motility. Catalase is positive and lactose, glucose, sucrose, indole, urea, and H2S negative. Isolation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa from healthy carrier and environment is significant only when there is risk of transfer to compromised patient through hand or nurses. The percentage of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in pus was closest to those observed by most of other researchers. All strains were glucose negative, urea negative.
