This disease widely distributed throughout the world which is causing great economic loss in animal production and frequent cause TB in man. It’s an endemic disease in Ethiopia but not received more attention on its research and control strategies, the test and slaughter control strategies not applied because of its economic limitation. And also it has not adequate comprehensive surveillance information and due to the lack of the diagnostic facilities and reagents this disease has limited information on its molecular epidemiology or genotypic characteristics of Mycobacterium bovis strains which are currently circulating in our cattle population. Therefore, knowing the strains use to examining host pathogen relationships to monitor transmission and spread of the disease among cattle.
