Phenomenology and Deconstruction

This book relates the entire tradition of phenomenology to deconstruction. It relates the work of Husserl, Heidegger, Merleau-Ponty, Blanchot, Levinas, Ricoeur and Levinas to Derrida''s thought and argues that Derrida radicalizes the transcendental-empirical relation in order to rescue phenomenology from aporia. A rethinking of the entire metaphysical tradition, this work will be useful to those working in philosophy and literature who seek to understand the relation of the fields which are normally understood as distinct, phenomenology and deconstruction,where this book argues that this distinction is not as coherent as many argue.
