The monograph examines processes of birth of the first submis-sions on human rights and freedoms, of their development and transformation into an integral part of the modern philosophy of life. Leitmotif of the monographs: without human rights and freedoms there can be no democracy, and without de-mocracy, there can be no law-abiding society with a free person. The author shows the landmarks of the modern Institute of human rights and freedoms, and considers the rights of specific groups of people of modern societies, and high-lights features of their realization and protection in different situations. Through the entire book is the idea that only the people are capable to defend their rights and freedoms and their protection become especially effective only when, if they know about them and how to protect them. The book aims to help the widest range of people in the modern world better know their rights and freedoms and effectively protect them.
