Genetical and morphological variations among population of Aphids

This book deals with the use of modern genetical techniques and some morphological characters to estimate genetic variability among Egyptian populations of aphids. This book contains information obtained from authentic and highly regarded sources about aphids insect. Aphid is a serious pest with wide range of agricultural crops in the temperate world; it can cause severe damage directly by depriving the plant of its essential nutrients or indirectly by transmitting viruses. This book aimed to throw some light on morphological, genetic variation and relatedness among geographical populations of Sitobion avenae (HEMIPTERA: APHIDIDAE) by using some morphological characters and genetical techniques such as the Real-time PCR to detect the different of levels cytochrome oxidase I (COI) Gene expression and DNA sequencing that depend on Mitochondrial-DNA COI gene.
