Accumulation of metals in some insects of tannery and non-tannery area

Unplanned urbanization, defective transports emitting metals, industrial effluents increase the risk of the planet and also have a great impact on the health of living beings. Excessive amounts of metals act as toxicants and accumulate in the bodies of living beings. Being entomologists, in this research insects were used to observe the accumulation of heavy metals along with the impact on their brains and ovaries due to the toxicity. As Dhaka city is the most polluted and loaded with different tanneries and industries, three sampling sites were selected in and around Dhaka city based on tannery and non-tannery zones. The book provides detailed experiment results and practical conclusions based on in-depth research.
