Ocular Prosthesis and Rehabilitation of Ocular Defects

The loss or absence of an eye may cause from a congenital defect, trauma or tumor. Anopthalmic eye creates an esthetic and psychological problems. Ocular defects can be rehabilitated with proper ocular prosthesis. For successful rehabilitation, proper communication is needed between oculoplastic surgeon and maxillofacial prosthetics/ ocularist.
