SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC IMPACTS OF AWQAF ON THE COASTAL PEOPLE OF KENYA

This book highlights on the social and economic problems which face people of the Kenyan Coast. This is a result for un proper utilization of their Awqaf (Endowment). The book is composed of three chapters.The first chapter deals with the legality of Waqf in Islam. The second chapter highlights the history and size and magnitude of the AWQAF in the Coastal region; while the last chapter suggests ways of investing the resources of Awqaf in the region.
