Statistics that deal with planning, conducting, analysing, and interpreting controlled tests to evaluate the factors that control the value of a parameter or group of parameters. DOE is a powerful data collection and analysis tool that can be used in a variety of experimental testings. It allows for multiple input factors to be manipulated, determining their effect on a desired output (response) of hybrid composites wear optimized parameters. By manipulating multiple inputs at the same time, DOE can identify important interactions that may be missed when experimenting with one factor at a time. This investigation also focused on numerical study of hybrid composite specimens, which was experimentally done by preparing according to ASTM standards. The mechanical properties of a hybrid composite can be altered by varying volume ratio and stacking sequence of different volume reinforcements. The numerical study was conducted by developing specimen models in Catia V5 and later importing to ANSYS Workbench 15.0. The boundary conditions were applied and analysis results compared with that of experimental results to suggest its further applications.
