Tension and Concern Over Wild Animals of India

The present book has been written to provide complete account of the wild animals of India, their present states and their multidirectional conservation system. The book includes an upto data information about Indian National Parks, Sanctuaries, Biosphere Reserves including Reserve Forests statewise with their location, areas, best time for visit and wild animals found there. Conservation of depleting wild animals of India which are categorized as rare, threatened, endangered and vulnerable by IUCN in their conservation status is discussed here with a scientific approach. The book includes the list of almost all Indian wild animals starting from Fishes to Mammals with their common English names and corresponding scientific names. Description, habitat and conservation status of some of the threatened animals of India and different conservation projects for some vulnerable animals are also included.
