PIPER OF THE SOUL

Piper of the Soul is a choreographic and scholarly exploration of the doctrines of karma and reincarnation, based on Hindu philosophy and religious literature. This written thesis serves as a scholarly record of the creative project that was produced at Mills College in 2000. Piper of the Soul references Hindu god Krishna as a representation of the supreme power, calling all souls to the creator. The doctrines of karma and rebirth are investigated in the context of modern society.
