This thesis explores the institutional communication roadblocks that may exist in the public health care system of the People''s Republic of Bangladesh. The public health care system of Bangladesh is maintained and operated solely by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, under the Government of Bangladesh. The thesis explores the application of certain organization-related metaphors originally coined by sociologist Gareth Morgan that may function in the Bangladeshi public hospitals. The methodology used in this research is largely qualitative in nature. An open ended survey questionnaire has been designed to gather data for analysis by surveying physicians from the Bangladeshi public hospitals. The data analysis has gone through three phases of phenomenology – description, reduction, and interpretation. The phenomenological analysis of the data shows four unique themes that help shed light on the communication problems of the public health care system of Bangladesh.
