Documenting semantics and pragmatics of Oromo personal names

This book contains significant information about the personal names of Showa Oromo. The people of study area give names to their child in different ways. These are hammachisa, ayyana heddu, naming after days, time of the day and birth seasons. The present book is thus or collection of Oromo personal names. The Oromo personal names have meaning which may be descriptive, connotative, associative or contextual.
