Malnutrition is the condition that develops when the body does not get the right amount of the vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients which it needs to maintain healthy tissues and organ functions. Oral manifestations can be the presenting symptom for many nutritional imbalances. Thus, oral manifestations must be promptly recognized and appropriately treated.
