Perimenopausal women experience more menopausal women, so postmenopausal women had more positive attitude towards menopause. Ethnicity, cultural factors influence the experience of menopause among women. Educational background has an impact on menopausal attitude and coping strategies. The women with positive attitudes towards menopause were more likely to manage menopause better. The positive attitude towards menopause with women suffering the most from menopausal symptoms showing positive attitude towards HRT. EI appear to hold more positive attitude to menopause and experience less severe stress, psychological distress and menopause symptoms than negative experienced. Self Instructional Module was very effective in changing the perception of perimenopausal women and management of menopausal symptoms. Level of knowledge and attitude of women towards menopause improved after health educational programme.
