Public Debt and North Eastern States of India

The present work "Public Debt and North Eastern States of India" provides a detail analysis of the public debt scenario of North Eastern States(NE) of India. The Domar model of debt sustainability has been used as the methodology along with other appropriate statistical and econometric tools. It examines fiscal performance of NE states and has compared with the 14 major general category states of India,Whether the NE states are debt sustainable or not?, It shows the future scenario of these states by developing simulation model. It also studies whether the NE states are eligible to get HIPC type of debt relief measure or not?
